Our designers were oriented towards the so-called Brussels lace. Since about 1700, the fine art of lace making has been known in the Belgian capital. In traditional laces, threads are pulled from a canvas-bound woven fabric, whereupon the resulting holes are embroidered with buttonhole stitch. High-quality dresses, lingerie, tablecloths and textile decorations can be designed with lace. Our designers zoomed closer, simplified the ornamentation, divided it into simple, rather flat shapes and finally wrapped it with wool – which explains the name LANA.
The green reads natural rather than cold, and pairs easily with timber. Well suited to a loft or a converted space.
