This pretty word means courtyard or garden in Japanese. We find elements of Middle Eastern gardens in the design: a lake teeming with languid Koi carp, weeping willows, other beautifully pruned trees, and expertly designed depth…Niwa is inspired by the gardens of private mansions in Kyoto, these botanical wonders are hidden behind the properties’ high walls.
The floral repeat reads soft from across the room and detailed up close. The red carries energy, best on a single wall. Well suited to a bedroom that needs to feel calmer.
