Terra, Latin for earth or ground. A word loaded with powerful symbolism. It evokes a sense of connection with nature. Terra catapults us back to a pre-digital age; a wild and raw world of abundant natural resources treated with care. This resolutely pure way of living is rare in our modern world. We sometimes rediscover it through isolated ancient tribes, taking inspiration from their deep-rooted, spiritual connection to the earth. This connection between people and nature is literally tangible when raw clay is transformed to create a masterpiece. The result of this artisanal process reflects the brutal, untamed essence of our earth and forms the basis for the designs in the Terra collection. The sculpted and moulded forms seem to have been born from the earth, authentic, unrefined and without formal perfection. Terra is a tribute to our earth.
